Subject: [SIR-Mail] No.668: Receiver INdependent EXchange (RINEX) Format Version 3.02 Released From: Laura Sanchez ******************************************************************************** SIR Electronic Mail 2013-06-11 07:26:17 UTC Message No. 668 ******************************************************************************** Dear IGS Colleagues: The International GNSS Service (IGS) and the Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services - Special Committee 104 (RTCM - SC104) and the jointly formed RINEX Working Group (RWG) have updated the RINEX documentation to meet the needs of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems community. The main features of RINEX Version 3.02 are: · Support for all current GNSS Constellations (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Quasi Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) and BeiDou) and Space Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) · All phase observations must be aligned to a defined reference signal. · New mandatory GLONASS code-phase correction header record, specifying the correction applied to align the two observation types. · GLONASS Slot to Frequency number header record now mandatory. · New RINEX file naming convention. · Editorial changes and corrections as indicated in the revision history The RINEX Working Group acknowledges the valuable support and feedback received for the QZSS constellation from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and for the BeiDou constellation from Mr. LI Donghang, Beijing, China.
